History of Women's Fellowship

Menston Methodist Ladies' Fellowship was formed from the former Ladies' Sewing group when the Rev James Wright became our first resident Minister.  Meetings were held weekly at 2:45pm to fit in with the local bus timetable.  These meetings were taken by the Minister and, once a month, for the Missionary Association a Faith Tea was held. Later a creche was formed to enable young mothers to attend and the time altered to 2:30pm to fit in with school times.

In Rev Ken Beardsley's time the programme was altered and discussions groups, etc, were arranged.  The name was altered to Women's Fellowship.

We are sad to report that due to falling numbers and an ageing membership The Women's Fellowship at Menston Methodist Church was formally wound up at the AGM on 13 May 2013.  We are grateful for the support we have received from so many ladies over many years.
